Design Build Background

I have had an affinity for designing and building since I was young. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture & Design and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University, I spent the first 10 years of my career in construction management working for two top design build firms in Colorado: Neenan and the Buchanan Yonushewski Group. During my career I completed a LEED-NC, 2.2, Green Building Certificate from CSU, as I am an advocate for environmental design & sustainability. The knowledge I gained from being a project manager has proven invaluable and gives me a unique perspective as a designer. 

I was located onsite during my project management career, allowing me to work and collaborate directly with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, designers and owners while building landmark projects that include: the Budweiser Event Center and Larimer County Fairgrounds, Boulder Medical Center, Olathe High School/Middle school, Bend Surgery Center, OR, Fort Collins Surgery Center, One Lincoln Park Residential Highrise and The Denver Pavilions.  It was an honor to be apart of so many incredible projects and work along side the best in the business.

I established JE Design Build in 2010, and I bring over 25 years of combined experience from the design and construction industries. I know that my clients’ homes and businesses are more than just a building, they are an integral part of their lives.  My approach to interior design is to listen, understand my client’s vision, and then collaborate to create the design of their dreams. I foster relationships founded on communication, trust and integrity.  My passion is to deliver the most inspiring design so that my clients can live the life they imagined!

I am a person of faith, a wife, mother, lover of the outdoors, and passionate about traveling. I draw design inspiration from experiencing different cultures and antiquities. I have a strong affinity for historical architecture and the asthetics of the American West.  I cherish my time spent with family and friends, especially over a delicious meal or around a campfire making s’mores.  I enjoy skiing, scuba diving, backpacking, fly fishing, cooking and playing the piano.
